this week’s manicures

i’m not much of a talker/ writer, so i’ll go straight to the photos.

first up a design i call purple me orange.

natural light

sunlight.

i went china glaze crazy on this design, using Papaya Punch (orange) and Flying Dragon (glittery purple). of course base and top coats by OPI (which are starting to get really thick..oh well, a good reason to go nail polish shopping).

maybe because of the top coat, or maybe because of the orange polish (it was really thick when i applied it, but one layer wasn’t enough) this design didn’t really satisfy my “want you on my nails at least 5 days” need, sooooo yesterday i stayed up late doing some stamping, and trying out a new crackle polish I’ve bought(really really cheap, loveeee it). here’s the result:

left hand,

right hand.

I still have some difficulties doing my dominant hand (right hand), but in the end i liked the designs of the right hand better.

for this second manicure i used one coat of China Glaze Swing Baby (i immediately fell in love with this nail polish because it was really simple to apply, soooo different then the papaya punch, one layer would have been enough, but after applying the second layer, the intensity of the color changed a lot), Crack Me Up – Black crackle nail polish from MissSporty (i had quite the laugh attack in the store when i read the name, the sales girls now probably think i am creizeiii), and  Pink Konad special nail polish for Stamping. For the stamping i used two image plates m57 and m3. I am really starting to enjoy this art of stamping. It’s easy, breasy, beautiful;) but i still have to buy more plates and more special colors for the diversity of my designs.

enough for this week:)) have a lovely weekend, full of nail polish shopping.

keep u posted,

Say hello to my new hobby…

nails, nail polishes, konad stamping etc etc etc.

I still have to figure some technical and practical things out, but until then i present to you my nails i did right before going to Adriana Unguras’s bday (our lovely make-up artist – http://adrianaunguras.tumblr.com/).

I used a OPI base coat, one coat of Rimmel Lasting Finish – Black him i love, Crackle glaze – Tarnished gold by China Glaze (which i absolutely llllllooooove), and finished the hole manicure with a top coat from OPI.

Keep you posted,

f.
