nail swag collaboration, dervish dancers inspired

a few months ago (yeah, waaaaay back when i was one year younger, and yeahhh i know i haven’t posted in a while now) i created a set of nails for a Dervish Dancers inspired shooting. Adriana Unguras (my favorite make-up artist) came to me with this great idea, and why the hell should i have said no?

so these are the nails:

i tried to incorporate the details of the dervish dancers skirts when they are engaged in turns, it’s like watching them from above, mixing red tones with gold (because i am obsessed with golden everything and because red and gold fit like a glove), adding a little sparkle with my best friends the rhinestones, all in all coming up with a funky and interesting twist to the dervish dancers.

here are some details of the model:

and here is the full spread. in the end the nails weren’t that visible, but it was our first shoot, and we learn from our mistakes?!? but hey, i am happy with what i came up with and all of these beautiful photos (props to our always hyper photographer Radu ;))
